Reflection 1

The design and development of outdoor environments, in order to achieve social, ecological, and visually invoking landscapes. I believe landscape architecture incorporates innovations through conditions of outdoor structures, areas, landmarks, and landscapes. Using the attributes of nature as the tools for development. Landscape architecture is a multi-disciplinary practice, all using knowledge from fine arts, environmental studies, such as botany and horticulture, all the way to ecology and civil engineering. The scale of work can also range from extremely small urban or rural areas, to large plots of land, redesigning and altering the infrastructure and topography of the land itself.

From an ascetic perspective landscape architecture can work cohesively with a variety of fields, such as storm water development and management, to general design and infrastructure like golf courses, gardens, and nature preserves. It can add important concept collaboration to architecture itself as well, giving foundation and meaning to the bigger picture of how an element or entire project is perceived and experienced. Driving how a project through means of circulation, visually creating points of apex to draw or attract an occupant to experience a particular area or element. Landscape architecture is ability to develop an outdoor environment through design of soft scape and hardscape.
