Once upon on a time on a ship in a far away galaxy, a crew of space pirates traveled. A group of unwanted rebels and disowned misfits scavenged the horizon of sector 67 just trying to survive. The crew consisted of three crewmen; Grub, Stark, and Happy and the Captain; Only known as Rose. Rose was an older humanoid with enough wisdom and knowledge to fill a library. Stark a creature who stood 10' tall and built like a mountain was the gental giant and Happy, a thin and tall being with skin like bark had both been with Rose since they where juveniles and banished for being thieves. Then there was Grub, a young Furon abandoned and picked up on the out skirts of Sector GB88 while the crew was making a run on a transporter freight.

It all began while the crew was anchored just outside an interstellar highway, going after small transport crafts for supplies and anything they could use. When a small ship exits a warp speed ramp and catches the groups attention. Though the ship was a just a general transport ship it was undetectable on forms of radar. They decided to act worried the ship would go light speed again at any moment. The crew got into their positions and locked on, shutting down all the electronics and travel abilities. While attempted to board there was no activity on the transport vessel, which worried the crew but none the less they boarded. On board they discovered an empty ship only guided by auto-piolet and a single locked steel room that looked like it could withhold a bomb capable of destroying a planet. Anxiously the crew opened the door.

Only to discover an entity so powerful that its believed to be from another unknown dimension. This entity was known from the edge to the universe and back only as Otis. Otis was an extremely powerful, ruthless, and dangerous adversary. It had no regards for life and would destroy everything in its path.

The moment the door was cracked a powerful force energy exploded though the ship. Knocking everyone but Grub the ground disabling them with unexplainable pain. Grub looks around in confusion trying to get an explanation of why they are in pain. They motion to the room that contained Otis and Grub walks in only to see a little old man with a cane made of purple obsidian standing only 3 feet in height. Otis peers at him with stabbing gaze and Grub peers back both fascinated and confused. Otis expression then turns into that of a someone who has lost everything and replies, “My son, at last.” Grub confused and lost has no answer. Otis tells him that he has been searching from end of the universe to the other trying to find him and destroy all that get in his way and they much to talk about. 

Grub still confused and unable to comprehend the information he just received sits down with Otis and listens. Otis explains, they their a very few beings left within there race and that they are from a very rare distant galaxy on the edge of the universe. That their galaxy has no verbal name and is constantly being pushed by the force of the ever expanded universe, which gives the people their powers. Grub questions if he is one of them why hasn’t Grub had knowledge or the ability to access these unfathomable powers. Otis looks deep into his eyes and says only at the brink of death. The edge of unbearable pain do we gain consciousness of powers and through the destruction of energy do they gain power. He them peers into Grubs eyes and asks him to come back to their civilization and continue to rejuvenate their race. Without hesitation, Grub angrily shouts, “No!”. That is no honor nor reason to destroy innocent lives for the further pursuit of a single race. That they had already abandoned him as a small infant and now what him to forget all he has been through to expand a race that banished him. 

Otis enraged by the response, now sees Grub an enemy standing in the way. Otis sheers at him and Grub is over taken by a bearable pain, instantly falling to his knees in agony. The pain is so intense that he begins to hallucinate and forgotten memories of his past are brought forward. Otis vanishes, unwilling to kill his son and fear of bring forth the powers within Grub. The agony bearing upon the crew is lifted and Grub lays motionless. Stark lifts Grub and carries him back to the ship with Rose and Happy following. Days pass, and finally Grub awakens. Eagerly the crew asks Grub what happened inside the chamber and why Otis hadn’t killed them. Grub explains everything and requests an unbearable task of the crew. That they must attempt to kill him for it is the only way Grub will be able to access his powers and defeat Otis. The crew unwilling to attempt the favor both out of fear that Grub will be consumed by his new powers and the belief that Grub is not part of the race Otis described.

After a long debate the crew finally agreed to bring Grub to this climax of death in order to bring forth the powers. They figured that if this is the only way to defeat Otis and it doesnt work. They will all be killed regardless. After a quite meal and some heartfelt talk among the crew they decide it is time. Stark, being the massive creature amongst them takes on the task of killing Grub. Stark appolgizes to Grub; Grub nods and with powerful unwaivered swing bashes Grubs skull in. Grub knocked unconcious falls to the ground and lays motionless. Stark aware that he had only knocked Grub  unconcious, he begans to repeatedly smash grub over and over again. As the blood begans to pool, Stark loses focus of the objective and becomes enraged with anger and holds nothing back. The crew pull Stark off and calm him down. They then peer over to Grub, laying lifeless is a pool of his own blood unaware of what kind of powers are being released subcounciously within Grub. Though appearing to be on the brink of death. Inside Grubs mind is a trial of his own starting to begin. Grub awakens in an unfamilar forest with alien plants and life never seen before. He sees a single path leading deep into the forest that appears to have no end. Grub with no other way out begans to follow this path. Grub walks for miles and everything begans to look familiar as if he has been walking circles. Grub stops and sees an old rusted grail with an ancient alein language on it. The scriptor on the grail is worn out but a few words can be made out and its of a familiar language but Grub cannot remember where he had seen it. As soon as the grail is touched by Grub a distant light appears and a path not seen before opens. Grub begans to run down the path only to be stopped by a black sillouette figure. This figure told Grub that he was the gate keeper between power being unlocked or meeting certian death. That this figure only known as Polock would choose weither Grub gets his powers or not. Polock tells Grub he must take the grail and choose one of the three pot and drink the liquid within. However there is a poision in the pots and which one is unknown. However, Grub is unaware that both pots are deadly. Grub choose one and falls to the ground. The Gate keeper then tells Grub that he has one more chance. Grub thinks, knowing it is only another trick. Grub jumps for the Gate Keeper grabbing him by the throat. The gate keeper disappears and reappears. Tell grub he has passed the test. Grub then awakes from this coma and feels more power then ever before....
