A graduate of UCLA, Lewis Hall is married and has two daughters, one graduated from Cornell University in 2010 and the other graduated from Beverly Hills High School a year ago and is attending Boston College.

    He is a senior lecturer at Otis and an award-winning art director with an extensive background in filmmaking and design. Earlier in his career he produced five award-winning educational films, including the Academy Award winning animated documentary, Antimatter, a humorous look at physics.

            Lewis served as design director for CBS Entertainment, supervising the conception and direction of the network’s multi-million dollar on-air promotions and graphics, and then became senior art director for Novocom, a Los Angeles broadcast firm, where he produced identity campaigns for more than thirty television networks around the world. His identity work for the CBS Evening News won two national Emmys. Before leaving Novocom, he formed and headed its New Media Department where he developed interactive and web-based programs and was a speaker on HD technology.

            He has written a YA novel and art directed and published a 200-page photo/history/cookbook.

            Lewis teaches two classes in the Digital Media Department at Otis College of Art & Design as well as serving as student advisor.

            Two summers ago he launched the largest content-based iPad app on the iTunes store. The app teaches middle school math and includes over 120 hours of instruction, half which he supervised the writing and art directed the team of animators and talent.

            A year ago Lewis was elected as Governing Member of the Beverly Hills School Board and is serving a four-year term.

            Just recently, he began teaching an art class to high school students.
