Soft as Webs was a course dedicated too analyzing and understand spider webs. I studied the texture, and the method to how spiders make a web. The project was to come up with a material that mimics webs but still functions as a human product.

I was inspired by how the actual webs are soft to the touch and by appearance but still sturdy enough to act as their protection and food source. The method I used was crocheting thin wire. Wire is a hard material but the method of crocheting softens it and allowed for the wire to drape nicely on the body. I added clear beads to represent the dews that would hang from spider webs after a rainy day.
