Xiaotong Zhuang

MFA Public Practice Candidate - Otis College of Art and Design

Xiaotong Zhuang was born and raised in China. She received her bachelor’s degree in Communication University of China in 2010 and come to the Los Angeles in the same year.

Before he come to Los Angeles, as a director and photographer he works in television and magazines.  In private time, he traveled to many places in China to have experience of difference lifes cause there is a Chinese proverb called: Read ten thousand books, travel ten thousand miles.  Through these experiences, He began interested in the relationship between people and environment.  The environment includes cultural and religious factors, economic and political history, etc.  He try to explore and research the really and natural states of people living in different environments and records and present them by photography. 

Currently, Xiaotong beginning her graduate studies in Public Practice at Otis college of Art and Design, he looking forward to experience more different cultural backgrounds and plan ues different media to present art work.
