-Week-9-Fact or fiction?

A small rant on a heavy week and human relations.

I guess it started on Thursday. A whole week had gone through with its usual up and downs, maybe more downs than ups this time around. Monday started with the news that my web-design teacher had health complications that chilled the calcium in your bones if you knew about them.
Tuesday was yelling day in which I got yelled my first class for taking apart the press in order to clean it well; Mistake, apparently it's better to half-ass clean the press than to take it apart. Second period was more of a communal yelling as 90% of the class is still behind in work and each week there are at least five of us missing from class. Third period was the worst yelling by far, our teacher for business practice and entrepreneurship was definitely pissed at the bad quality of our work week after week...I mean, seriously? What did he expect, we're in art school, put all of our business knowledge together and we could barely run a store in a small community in the Sierra Madre in Mexico.
Wednesday was the usual in interactive technology class, we re-learned what we have been learning for the past month, so instead of paying attention  I  decided to space out and try and find weird shapes on the fire-proof substance on the ceiling, it was all going so good until my nose started to bleed, that's the fourth time this week. I should have it checked, but I guess that's gonna have to wait until I can afford going to the doctor. Curse every single health insurance company in this country, just out to find the one who's about to die so they can dance all over their corpse.
Thursday morning was no different, no class and lots of time to work on my thesis project and paper, but more on the paper because I have no intention of setting a foot in the metal shop for one more month, especially since last time I was there I set fire to the grinder thus ruining the reputation of 25 years without having to use a fire extinguisher on campus. Go me.
Thursday night was a bit different as I finally decided after much contemplation to go to a party I had been invited, most of my friends would be at this party and it had been a while since I assisted anything social like that, to tell you the truth is that I had been isolating myself on purpose, but it's all my fault.
It comes down to my damn shyness and the fact that I rarely think of my personal benefit, it had been months since I noticed that girl, and it followed like it usually does, I talk to her and we become friends, I introduce her to my friends and then one night she ends up going home with one of my friends and next morning they're and item and I'm back to square one. I'd like to say this happened to me once, but by now it's more of a vicious cycle in which all of my friends have girlfriends thanks to my passive stand on the situation. Curse me.

Anyways, back to our little story, I decided to go to the party, I put on the cleanest pair of pants I could find, got myself in that cowboy shirt I had been neglected for weeks and that looks damn good on me (or so I've been told) and I headed to the party.
I was one of the first ones to arrive, I had a couple of boxes of that delicious pumpkin ale in my trunk, boxes that I had bought days ago and just didn't bother to unload to the point that it became something of a personal emergency stash. Most of my friends where there, all of them with their respective girls. I came around to saying hello to everyone in the room and decided that I was uncomfortable with the music choice of the evening, so without premeditation I walked to the record player and switched the music, this brought me a couple of nasty stares from a couple of kids who were smoking pot in a corner, but I just didn't care enough to let them know I noticed their distress. With the new music at full blast, people begun to wake from their vegetative state and begun to walk around the room, moving to the music, the way a toddler does when he is introduced to a new environment, full of curiosity and wonder about everything he could set his eyes on.
The party went on uneventful until late at night, or more like early morning when I noticed I was probably the last remaining single person in the place. Apparently I had missed my chance again, and would be the only one to go home alone that evening yet it didn't bother me like it would have in past times, I let it go easily as I looked around for my keys and jacket. Got myself together and walked to my car just to drive home with the radio as my only company.
